Representing 270 credit unions with $71 billion in assets and 7 million members, the League of Southeastern Credit Unions & Affiliates (LSCU) is the trade association for Alabama and Florida credit unions. It provides advocacy, compliance support, education, training, and information with relevant services and business strategies to support its members in fulfilling their missions. Product Management is a part of LEVERAGE, a for-profit affiliate of the LSCU. LEVERAGE exists to equip credit unions with products and services to fulfill their day-to-day needs. With best in class products and services through preferred business partner relationships, LEVERAGE strives to help credit unions reduce expenses. Increase non-interest income, improve regulatory compliance, increase loan growth, and more.  The Director of Product Management will manage and direct the marketing and sales efforts for LEVERAGE products and services to credit unions, coordinate product training with staff and new employees, act as a liaison between key business partners or vendors that LEVERAGE promotes to the credit union industry, identify new and changing marketing partnership opportunities. 

Description of Duties:

  1. Develop and execute business and action plans for LEVERAGE strategic partners.
  2. Manage processes as it relates to executing deliverables in business and action plans with regards to marketing, communications, the business development staff and other various departments.
  3. Manage processes for training of LEVERAGE, LSCU, and credit union staff on LEVERAGE products.
  4. Provide training and support to credit unions and LSCU employees on LEVERAGE products and services.
  5. Keep informed on all LEVERAGE products, both in-house and partner provided.
  6. Monitor, coordinate, and evaluate partner products and LEVERAGE-owned products, to assure a high level of responsiveness to customer needs.  Initiate actions with LEVERAGE management, the vendor, and/or the customer to resolve identified problems.
  7. Track Revenue from products by vendor and LEVERAGE-owned products, sort revenue by credit union, month received, and business development consultant
  8. Verify sales, track commissions, and coordinate commission payments.
  9. Monitor, review, and ensure billing accuracy from vendor partners and production assistance vendors on LEVERAGE promoted and LEVERAGE-owned products
  10. Assist management in the development of sales forecasts.
  11. Determine credit union needs and assist in developing solutions from LEVERAGE product offerings; prepare proposals for credit unions, secure and renew orders, arrange delivery, and other incidents to actual selling.
  12. Interact with existing and potential customers. 
  13. Assist the Business Development team in developing proposals for new business
  14. Act as liaison between LEVERAGE and third-party service providers.
  15. Act as a liaison to assigned credit unions to ensure deeper relationships with the LSCU
  16. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

The ideal candidate will possess, at a minimum, the following qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.
  2. Two to five years of related experience; experience in product management or credit unions.
  3. Knowledge and understanding of history, development, and philosophy of credit union movement.
  4. Knowledge and understanding of financial management, strategic planning, and marketing techniques.
  5. Extensive knowledge of credit union needs and consultative selling.
  6. Experience with networking groups, developing and facilitating training seminars, scheduling venues, etc.
  7. Exceptional business development skills required.
  8. Professional, well-developed communication skills necessary for making presentations to all levels of staff and a highly developed level of public speaking skills.
  9. Ability to work effectively in a Microsoft Office environment, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  10. Comfortable managing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities.
  11. Ability to get along with diverse personalities; tactful, mature, and flexible.
  12. Good reasoning abilities, sound judgment, and a willingness to make decisions.
  13. Resourceful and well organized.
  14. Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving history

This position will require occasional travel within Florida and Alabama. Airline Travel will also be required although not frequent.
